How to increase internet speed. ( IT )
- Microsoft OS reserves 20% of the available bandwidth for their own purpose like windows updates and interrogating the PC etc. By changing this, internet speed can be boosted by 20%. Follow the steps.
- Go to ‘Run’.
- Type ‘gpedit.msc’. A new window should open.
- Go to ‘Local Computer Policy \ Computer Configuration \ Administrative Templates \ Network \ QoS Packet Scheduler’.
- In the right side, find ‘Limit Reservable Bandwidth’ and double click it.
- A new opens saying there is ‘Not Configured’. But the truth is under the ‘Enable’ tab.
- Select the ‘Enable’ and set the ‘Bandwidth Limit’ to zero.
- Click on ‘Apply’ and ‘Ok’.
- The internet speed should be boosted up by 20%.
