Plagiarism is the act to copy another person's ideas, words or work and pretend that they are your own.
- The word plagiarism comes from a Latin word for kidnapping. As kidnapping is stealing a person, plagiarism is a form of cheating. Well, plagiarism is stealing a person's ideas or writing.
Eg:
- Copying information from some book and use them as the information is collected by his/her research.
- Downloading information from internet without permission and present them as that his/her research.
So its better to indicate the resource from where the information is collected. Eg: if we didn't know the information about earth and we came to know it through some books, then its better to write as 'according to the book of ................'.
